Meet Our Therapists
I am incredibly proud of the clinical team I’ve brought together at Wellness 51! Each therapist was invited to join the team not only for their clinical experience and strengths, but also for the compassion, authenticity, and genuine connection they bring to their work.
It was important to me to build a team with diverse areas of expertise and therapeutic approaches, giving you the opportunity to find someone who truly feels like the right fit. While each clinician brings something unique to Wellness 51, we share the same commitment to thoughtful, compassionate, high-quality care.
I’m so excited for you to meet the team at Wellness 51!
Kelly Schiavone, LCSW
Practice Owner | Self-Esteem, Anxiety & Life Transitions | Teens & Adults
Hi! I’m Kelly, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience helping children, teens, adults, and families navigate emotional, relational, and life challenges. Throughout my career, I’ve worked across outpatient, residential, and community-based settings, including serving in clinical leadership roles, developing programs, and providing supervision and support to other mental health professionals.
My clinical approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I believe meaningful healing begins with a strong therapeutic relationship—one where you feel safe, comfortable being yourself, supported without judgment, and genuinely understood. Therapy should be a place where the whole person is honored, not simply a set of symptoms or challenges to be addressed.
I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, stress, and significant life transitions. I especially enjoy helping women navigate periods of change, including shifts in relationships, family roles, identity, career, and other seasons of life. My goal is to help clients move beyond simply getting through difficult periods and toward feeling more grounded, confident, and connected to themselves.
A significant part of my work also focuses on helping clients strengthen self-esteem and confidence, recognize patterns that may be keeping them stuck, regulate emotions and stress responses, and develop practical skills that support meaningful and lasting change. I believe that when we better understand ourselves and the ways our experiences have shaped us, we are better able to make intentional choices about how we want to move forward.
My professional background includes clinical leadership, program development, residential treatment, outpatient therapy, and clinician supervision. I am trained in EMDR and have additional training and experience utilizing evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I draw from these methods based on each client’s individual needs, goals, experiences, and circumstances.
After more than two decades in the mental health field, I founded Wellness 51 Therapy Group with a clear vision: to provide high-quality, accessible mental health care in an environment that feels personal, welcoming, and genuinely supportive. I wanted to create a practice where exceptional clinical care could still feel approachable and where people of different ages and stages of life could feel comfortable reaching out for support.
Ultimately, my goal is not simply to help you feel better in the moment. I want to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, build resilience, and feel more confident navigating whatever comes next. I believe meaningful healing happens when we feel safe enough to understand ourselves more deeply, step out of patterns that no longer serve us, and begin creating a life that feels more grounded, aligned, and genuinely our own.
Brooke Wilson, LSW
Hi, I’m Brooke! I’m a Licensed Social Worker who provides therapy for adolescents and adults in a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress, self-esteem, and other emotional challenges.
I believe meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship. I take a relational, client-centered approach to therapy, creating a space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. While my work is grounded in connection and collaboration, I incorporate concepts from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based approaches to help you build insight, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
In addition to my clinical work, I serve on the board of Enough Services, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of human trafficking through advocacy, education, prevention, and trauma-informed community programming.
Katherine Halpin, LSW
Hello and welcome to Wellness 51! Please call me Katie or Kate. I am a Licensed Social Worker in the State of New Jersey, with my master's degree from Widener University (MSW) and my bachelor's degree from Villanova University (BSN). I have a deep passion for helping people of all ages improve their mental health, restore balance, support emotional growth, and foster resilience in their lives. I have experience working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, foster care/adoption, and life transitions. I welcome clients of any and all culture, race, political party, socioeconomic status, gender identity, or sexual orientation. I prioritize creating a welcoming, safe and non judgemental space for my clients, where we work together to create a treatment plan that feels just right for you.
Working with children & adolescents who have experienced trauma is my specialty. The past three years I have provided Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for children, teens, and young adults who have experienced any form of trauma (abuse, neglect, domestic violence, bullying, medical trauma, & more). I am nationally certified in TF-CBT, receiving my training from one of the co-founders of this modality at the Rowan CARES Institute. TF-CBT focuses on enhancing emotional expression skills, developing adaptive coping skills, and processing exposure to traumatic events. It also includes a caregiver component, helping caregivers to develop positive parenting techniques and to manage their own feelings about their child's trauma. I have seen the effectiveness of TF-CBT in both the lives of the children I've served and in their participating caregivers. My personal experience as a resource parent for children in foster care and as an adoptive mother have given me a soft spot for children experiencing attachment issues & trauma related to these experiences. Prior to my experience at the CARES Institute, I provided therapy in both outpatient settings as well as in-home therapy, utilizing a variety of interventions such as solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, play therapy, and grief work.
In my free time, I enjoy reading books (usually around 100 a year!), going to the beach, enjoying nature walks, spending time with my children (ages 11, 13, 16, 18, & 23), visiting art museums, and attending Broadway musicals. Family is extremely important to me, so the majority of my time away from work is spent with those closest to me. I also enjoy volunteering in my community with various organizations through the years, such as Meals on Wheels, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), nursing homes, and local outreach ministry through my church.
Ivy Palma, LCSW
I believe that healing happens in the context of safe, authentic relationships. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that every person deserves to feel seen, understood, and accepted. Drawing from attachment theory, person-centered (Rogerian), and relational approaches, I work alongside clients to explore the patterns that shape their relationships—with themselves and with others—and help them build more secure, fulfilling connections.
I have a special passion for working with women navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, self-worth, boundaries, and the impact of past experiences on present relationships. I also enjoy working with couples who want to strengthen their connection, improve communication, rebuild trust, or navigate conflict with greater understanding and compassion.
My work is informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), helping clients identify the emotions beneath recurring patterns and create lasting change through deeper emotional awareness and secure attachment. Whether you’re feeling disconnected from your partner, struggling with relationship patterns, or looking to better understand yourself, I strive to create a space where you can feel supported, challenged, and empowered to grow.
My goal is to help clients develop healthier relationships, deepen emotional connection, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, meaningful, and connected.
